You had to be aware that, because of the small wheel at the front and the weight of the loaded basket, you couldn't bump up the kerb onto the pavement. I learned that the hard way

Brings back memories, as I had to do deliveries on a bike just like that in the early 70's. First time out I flew over the front. Ian
