Eysarcorus fabrieii

Photo Information
...otherwise known as the Woundwort Shield Bug. These bronze and white iridescent Shield Bugs are very small as Shield Bugs go and are particularly attractive insects, especially when the sun catches them. They are resident on White Dead Nettle plants in the 'wild' area of my garden, until seeing them here I had never seen this species before. They are mainly confined to the South of England, but must be spreading Northwards.

K-x, Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG EX Macro, handheld, natural light.

Excellent detail especially for hand held. That lens seems to have macro cracked. I get the feeling you could crop in even tighter and still have very good detail and sharpness.

Thanks David, I have left it this way because I like to have a decent composition. More often than not, I look for this in my macros as opposed to trying to get extreme close-ups as I like to have an 'attractive image'.
