Dawn at Mychette Lake 2015

Photo Information
Early morning sunlight over Mychette lake seen through the railway bridge over the Basingstoke canal.

I took a very similar shot back in 2009 and got an opportunity this morning to have another go.

Today's image was taken closer to the bridge with a shorter focal length so perhaps the perspective is slightly different. It was later in the year and shot about 45 minutes later which probably makes the lighting different and today there was not quite so much mist.

I am not sure which one is the better image. You can see my original shot here.

Pentax K-5 with a DA 18-135 @ 68mm
1/250sec, F6.3, ISO400 and -1.0 exposure compensation.

Shot raw, processed in LR5 with some final tinkering in PSE10.

Hard to choose between them. Both are striking
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
