+1 of a pretty, young lady I must add. The texture of the clothing and the hair adds a lot of character to the picture. I am not so sure about the shadow area around her right shoulder though. A shallow DOF would have worked extremely well IMO. Overall an excellent picture and those are some captivating eyes

Nice shot Jeremy. I hope you don't mind a couple of suggestions? If Katie was a little further from the background it would be more diffused / less distracting. Also, I don't know what lens was used but if you have one with a wider aperture this would also focus attention on Katie and blur out any other details in the background.
Keep posting your pics - they are getting better all the time!

I agree. But this is a great portrait. Katie has piercing eyes. Happy Birthday!
