Starting The Climb

by davidstorm

A topical shot from me (you may see a few more), after spending the weekend in Oughtibridge, Sheffield, to see the Tour de France. What a fantastic experience, the place was buzzing with thousands upon thousands of people, great weather and great excitement. Photography was difficult, so much going on, so many people, but I got a few decent ones and managed to get on the telly too!

Nice shot David - I would have waved if I had known you were there. I was on the balccony in the VIP area near the finish line - which would have been a great place to see the finish if the riders had been anywhere except close to the barrier on the left of the track - the one blind spot ...and that was of course where they were.

Good shot David. The crowd in the background and to the side give it context and balance.

Nice shot David. A thoroughly enjoyable day. I managed to bag a few up on Oxenhope Moor but unfortunately I shot them with a Panasonic so can't show them here!!
