A Vintage Village

by swarf

Castelluccio in Umbria. Processed using Silver efex Pro to give (hopefully) a vintage look to the final image. Lots of cloud and only occasional shafts of sunlight precluded an more traditional bright & summery look to the village. Very well worth the trip if you are in the area. Taken with a DA 55-300 at 77.5mm, and a 2 sec, exposure at F16.

This is a cracking example of why telephotos are often a better choice for landscapes than wide angles.

A fine, subtle landscape. Very nicely done. I keep meaning to use a telezoom for landscapes.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I find that I'm increasingly using a slightly longer lens for landscapes - or perhaps more accurately, using very wide angle lenses less often.
