Tulip with DA*300

by davidstorm

This is my first ever shot with my new DA*300 lens, taken wide open at F4, just a tester really, but wow, what a lens this is! I hope you like the image because you're going to see a lot of images shot with this lens!

The photographer and this lens together equals a striking image. Sharp. Looking forward to more of your work, thanks tg

Just great all round. Good things to come then.

I think you should send it back and quit while you're ahead Be hard to get much better! I knew you would find it of use.

The only downside with this, David, is that it intensifies my desire to buy one (a DA300, that is, not a pack of tulip seeds). Wish I'd committed when Amazon briefly dropped them to £500 a year or so ago.

Lovely bokeh, colour and detail, David.

I thought my shot (also on this page) was quite good until I saw this... c.£2000 and a top photographer vs. me and a £90 second hand set-up. No contest!
Best wishes,

Andrew

It is. I liked it Andrew! Maybe David's background give's it the edge but yours is still a good shot.

Thanks for all the comments folks. Andrew's shot is good and I think we all know that. I really do appreciate the observations, especially when they are from the photographers commenting on this image, all of whom are hugely admired by me. Long may we continue to enjoy each others work!

Best wishes
