like your use of that light though adds to the image nice sharp detail where it matters and the darkness behind highlights the subject nice work .
My only niggle if I may is the candle if the angle had just been to the left it would have been part of the shot and not intrusive but its only my very humble opinion

I don't suppose the candle could have been moved, but the light and image is lovely.

- I have to agree with you about the candle david, but in my defense, it was a rushed shot(there were many of them taken that day unfortunately). That will be my new years resolution - take my time, when composing my photographs!
