dog cropped in water
I have been playing with cropping on long the lines of "less is more" allowing the viewer to imagine the full picture. For a while I have also been trying to take the perfect reflection of my dog in water - today I managed to combine the two! I'd be interested to know if people enjoy photos like these or if they find them frustrating.

Thanks for the feedback Malc - I think I am probably sub-consciously using it as an aide-memoire re my own memory of a pretty scene - so a case of "you had to be there" , an for folk who weren't then its going to be a bit impenetrable and not a pleasure to look at. I'd never really thought about this before - so a useful exercise for me and without your comment my thought process on the topic would not have come to fruition.

Its an interesting idea but I don't think this quite hits the mark. I tend to agree with Malc. I think more of the dog would work better. Anyway, that's why we're all here to give each other constructive criticism!

In large the water reflection becomes obvious. Things aren't always what they seem to be. Why not capture what you saw and allow the eye of the observer to draw the conclusion - One of the best "animal" images I've seen on this gallery in quite a while - V. brave with a Fascinating result.
