amazing appearance with this 3d effect - did you use something like a center focus filter to get this effect (the background looks a bit artificially blured) or is it simply the great DOF that makes it?
Colors are also amazing.
I am still not a big fan of in-picture text lines (but this is my personal dislike - not a real criticism to this great picture)

It's just the superb DOF on the 55-300 plus some high pass filtering

They seem quite a popular breed in the Peaks David, probably because they are resistant to the harsh climate
