Boring yes, but ASA 1600! Even shots taken at ASA 12800 were acceptable, certainly better than nothing.

I had a similar idea to this the other day Andrew, just to get excited at how the K5 has such low noise at these settings even without flash, which i rarely use.

It's almost mystical at high ISOs, Maria. (Wouldn't swap it for my K10, though...yet.) I hate using flash as well. Sometimes on my Optio it goes off automatically but I invariably reshoot with it turned off!
