Coronation Copy

by pgweber

On Sunday I showed a photograph of this engine in black (as she is now). One of the comments posted said how nice it would be to see a maroon rake of coaches- well nearly managed it.

She was a maroon engine a year ago, making the same trip from Leicester to Scarborough, hence the same headboard.

Hope you like this one Paul.

Shot with K10D + 50mm as a PEF.

(The observant will notice that I showed the same a couple of weeks ago, shot a few seconds earlier framed in the distance by the bridge, as a b&w, ).

Maroon always suited this class of loco better than the black, blue and dark green they also appeared in at various times. Nicely caught picture Peter.
