A Ruddy Darter (I think)

Taken in a friends pond in Spain. There were 3 dragonflies - this one, a blue one and a brown one. I spent ages watching and taking photos of them. Would love to have got all 3 in one shot!! I used the Sigma 105mm Macro lens.

Yes - a fair bit cropped!! I agree a bit too much noise.
On a dark desert highway, cool Pentax K5 in my hand.
