Coal Empty East Of Denver

by Mojaveflyer

An empty coal train that had a load of coal for the Xcel Energy power plant in Pueblo, CO, is enroute back to the Powder River Basin in Wyoming for another load of coal. Normally two engines are on the front and two under remote control are on the rear but this train left Denver with all four on the head end. The Front Range of the Colorado Rockies is in the background with a fresh coating of snow from recent storms on the 30th of October 2010.

Big sky, big country and big colours, good shot.
