A Kiss of Light

by GIULIO57

This is an HDR capture. 5 different piccies put together. This is what I call “a soulscape”. Another esoteric sentence. Yes I do know..but this place and many others living in this area suggest me to use this comparison. In front of such places and moments of light it is almost like looking at “inside”…with its light and dark areas. A selfie-scape, I would like to add. This is one of my fav places and when I have a little bit of time I like going there to take pictures or simply to look at trying to discover little differences or details I had never noticed before. That afternoon I was lucky in finding such a cloudy sky. Place: Tuscany-a few minutes at south of Siena. Tripod. See EXIF for tech data. By the way: no polarizing and a lot of patience in waiting for light and shadow’s shapes depicted onto ground. In that moment a ray of light kissed the cypress after a few seconds of darkness on it. By the way: I used a similar photo of this place as background for a photo collage regarding Mrs Jean and Mr Phil(Swarf in PUG), when they came to Italy. See this upload in my PUG Gallery.

Another cracker - This invokes great memories of a lovely day spent travelling through in S. Tuscany. I love the clouds!

A magical shot of a wonderful landscape, Giulio. I love the three colours.
Best wishes,

Andrew

As usual, when I get there, everyone has said it all - they are all quite correct.

A wonderful sinuous journey along the lane, then gliding over the undulating hills... drifting amidst a bucolic idyll. The grand stage is burnished with chiaroscuro light and shadows under a flock of cotton wool clouds, as they march over this sublime Tuscan vista. Bravo!
