A shantrytown in the heart of Buenos Aires. Extraordinary makeshift accumulation of bits and pieces of anything and everything. Goes on and on alongside the main railway tracks into the city. Seemingly tolerated because of the economic crisis. The helical stairs seem to have been "provided" for safetry reasons. I admit recprocessing the photos doesn not make them easy to read. The B&W version posted 3 March is easier to understand.

Thanks for the explanation. For a moment there, because the spiral stairs seem so incongruous in that setting, I wondered if you had added them in yourself (which I realize is not your style). Anyway, a fine journalistic photo.
