Photo Information
A few months back I posted the night version of this. Here is the daytime view, with a low tide.

Thank you. This was my second trip back to the same location. I'm pretty happy with the results.

I took this from the Brooklyn side. Back in the day, the East River was a very busy Waterway, bringing supplies and goods into New York. Along this stretch there were piers and warehouses, holding grain, furs, and sugar. It proved to be such a fire hazard, that it was demolished. What you see are the old piers that the warehouses sat on.

Gosh, thank you for asking....

What a fabulous shot. We were in New York in February and only had the view of lower Manhattan from the Staten Island ferry, which has very dirty plastic un-opening windows and the tour boats where everything is always moving.

Really good having both dramatic foreground and impressive backdrop.

Wish I would have known, there is a way to get around that....lol You stand on the benches and open the windows, i do it all the time. Its hand held shooting tho

Hey Carol, WOW is certainly the word for this shot.
You've really made that K50 Sing !
That was quite a long exposure for a daytime shot - what lens did you use ?

Best regards
Peter

A marvellous city-scape. I love the way the pilings mirror the skyscrapers, Carol.
Best wishes,

Andrew
