Winter Squall over Hope Valley

Photo Information
This is one of my favourite images from the Peak District day out yesterday. It is a colour image, but due to the weather conditions at the time (blizzard) it looks almost mono. Shot with the 55-300 which impresses me more every time I use it.

This one was taken just as the clouds started to clear, hence the light falling in the distance.

K-x, DA L 55-300

That's great, David - nice patch of light in the distance. I thought it was a mono until I read your photo info !

Wow - great impact enhanced by the almost sepia feel. One of those shots that could have been taken a hundred years ago - and quite possibly if it had - the scene would have been unchanged in all that time .

very nice.

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

very nice soft looking photo and i like it a lot but i must say the top right hand corner has some scribble on it is that the pp work on it or is it the sky its self? its still a very good and well timed shot
Thanks Richard

My favourite of the images I have seen so far from the 'Grand Day Out'. I love the way the lane leads your eye into the picture, with the bonus of the light reflecting from the ice/puddes on the lane itself. As others have said, I also thought it was a mono image to start with. A great advert for the 55-300 lens, David - well done !!

Don't worry Richard, I am not offended in any way! Perhaps I could recommend an optician who could help you out a little?

Cheers

Very nice! I would restore the crop to the original aspect ratio, getting rid of some of the top.
