Cave Dale

Photo Information
This is Cave Dale, near Castleton in Derbyshire, in awesome afternoon light. I have processed this as a pseudo HDR, from 5 exposure adjusted originals to bring out all of the light and shadow detail whilst (hopefully) keeping the look as natural as possible.

K-5, DA 16-45.

Beautiful image. The walkers on the path make all the difference.

Another fantastic shot.
With more patience, practice and learning, I hope one day I will be able to take beautiful photos like this.

Great light and compo, a very pleasing scene, David. It reminds me of the works of 18nth cent. German landscape painters.

HDR works for me like this - so you can't tell & it looks natural, not forced - good work!

all the best

Supremely evocative image and, on a very personal level, extremely moving.

I spent some of the happiest years of my life in Sheffield in the early - mid 80s and regularly journeyed out into the Peak District (dark and white) at weekends and during the holidays with my young daughter, born in 1978, and future wife.

This is not the first of your very fine images of the area to unlock my chest of cherished memories.

Great colours and composition. And this is a nice example of the great use of HDR.
