Stokesay Castle

Photo Information
A one-time fortress in the Welsh Marches of Shropshire Stokesay Castle is just a few miles from where Wales was ruled from Ludlow Castle through the Middle Ages and up until Tudor times
This is an oldie, shot on a K10D in 2008 when I had just started shooting in RAW. Trawling through some of my early digital files I decided to rework this in an attempt to capture the mood and menace of those turbulent times.

K10D+DA*16-50 or Sigma 10-20mm lens.

Absolutely first rate - and well worth the visit (for those who haven't yet).
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Brilliantly eerie! The graveyard in the foreground draws the viewer to start looking for the Count Dracula-type figure. Well worth the re-work.
