It looks like they did a good job, Nezih! I am glad to see you still have carpenters who know what they are doing.

Is that the Şirince near Selçuk near Efes ? I have heard it has become rather popular recently. I missed going there twenty years ago and now I expect it is busy in the summer?

I like old faded paint but actually this is a sign that people are looking after the old buildings. I'll bet there are some wonderful old tiled rooves.

Yes, it's the very place, David. I revisited the place this year again with two Spanish friends. My aunt used to work as a teacher there in the fifties. I still remember a few things from those days. It has become very famous and popular.

That's interesting Nezih. Are there pictures of what it was like in the fifties? Times have changed so much, especially in Turkey. I understand that there is a museum there.
By the way , we all watch the news on Taksim in the hope it will be settled peacefully.
Istanbul needs green spaces more than more buildings!
