Bee Queen Rocks the Hive

Photo Information
Close-up of bee colony hive activity. Queen laying eggs in cells as other bees tend to her and yet others cap off honey cells. My husband is a beekeeper giving me ample opportunity to gaze into the phenomenal activity of the bee world.

Certainly a different subject to photograph!

Thanks for for the comments everyone. My husband, who is always suited up when working with the bees has gotten stung a number of times over the years, yet fortunately, I, in clothing only, just grab my camera and shoot. In this particular picture, the queen just happened into the photo and started doing her business. I was also lucky that the honeycomb frame was a fresh new one as used ones can look very dirty.
One other factor is that I was using a 35mm prime, thus had to get right in there with them. Heck, I didn't care...I was so into the shot. Came out unscathed, and with this beaty of a shot! Cheers!
Cheers...Donna 😊

It is indeed a beauty of a shot. Thank you for sharing it with us.
