A lone hawthorn & grasses catching the setting hazy sun by Holne Moor Leat, which runs in the O Brook valley, on Ryder's Hill.

That's a lovely shot, beautifully composed. I also like the colours, very warm and natural.

Thanks very much Maria It's a lovely valley to wander and after dozens of hours spent there over the last few years, there are always new opportunities to be explored and photographs made when the light and weather suit.

Many thanks for you generous comments David It was made a few minutes before sunset and I loved the way the light and shadows were accentuating the form of the hawthorn. The leat, the warm colours on the grasses and the moorland hills made me smile too.

The portrait format works very well Phil but I feel so tempted to turn the camera through 90 degs just to see what else is out there!
