Woodland Brown ?
by PeterKR
Just taking a break sitting on a bench in The Queen Mother's Garden at Walmer Castle when a butterfly landed on the gravel path in front of us. Fortunately the K70 was fitted with my 'all purpose holiday lens', the Sigma 18-250, so I quickly zoomed out to 250mm and grabbed a shot before it flew off again (as it did !)
I'd never seen one like this before but I believe it is a Woodland Brown ?
This also reinforces the old adage "your best lens is the one on the camera when you see a one-off shot" !
Despite the 250mm I still had to make a heavy crop to get this image as I didn't dare move too close !
