Flying from the sun?? Almost a 3D effect. Your observation of nailing and satisfaction? Well..I like this a lot, but I know what you mean. We are our own worst critics even when others see differently and with positivity.

Thanks Gray - yes 'could do better'! I am after a fuller frame load of starlings, to capture the moment with the majority having backlighting through open wings AND with the majority in focus and sharp (not wanting too much then!).
This shot is basically full width on the frame and just cropped out the empty space top and bottom!
