I notice you've shot this at 30mm, were you very close to the flower ? You may have got closer than the lens' minimum focusing distance. What lens were you using ?

George has a point Trixie, if you stepped back a little it would have been in better focus and then you can always give it a crop, it's worth trying because it's a nice shot.

i folks, Iused my Tamron 105mm lens and thats were I went wrong, wll the flowers have died now and I realy like Gerberas I have had lots of problems focusing them in the past I know that Maria gets them bang on I will buy more and use a different lens, thank you all very much best wishes Trixie
