Yes. That's a very engageing picture. You want to know more about it and why it is so.

Nice work but shouldn't images be taken on a Pentax camera to be in the gallery here?
Ex if details shoe a Samsung camera.
Cheers,

Bruce

Nice. Even better in B&W?

Nice composition, Lucy. It would be improved for me if the mirror and the page of the book on which it is resting, were in sharp focus. The point of focus seems to be the material surrounding the book. However, as said above, this a nice start to your portfolio.
Best wishes,
Mike

Thank you for your kind and constructive comments. I thought it wasn't so bad for a first attempt and still stumbling my way round photoshop. I have a lot to learn

I have been informed by a reputable source that the Samsung GX 20 is exactly the same as the Pentax KD 20.. So... (Reputable source being my mother who the camera actually belongs to and used on this forum before she upgraded to the one she has now). Phew.. Don't chuck me out yet

You are absolutely correct Lucy, Samsung is one of the "permitted" Pentax rebadged brands.
It's really nice that you netted such a good number of views (and comments) for your first posting
