Early morning steam


Photo Information
Ex LNWR Class G2 freight 0-8-0 49395 built at Crewe Locomotive Works in 1921, and Ex GNR Gresley CLASS N2 0-6-2T tank engine 1744, built at the North British Locomotive works in 1921 move off shed and come under the road bridge into Bury Bolton St station in preparation for the days work.

A very dramatic and nostalgic shot, well captured.

I used to travel to school in the old compartment carriages hauled by N2's !!!
