Lower Tamar Lakes

by screwdriver222

The Tamar Lakes are near the head of the river Tamar and straddle the Cornwall/Devon border. They are aptly named the Upper Lake and Lower Lake. The Lower Lake was created in 1823 and was used to feed the Bude canal. Its now a nature reserve. The Upper Lake was constructed in 1975 to supply Bude with water.
