Well, Lowela, you can love it, but to me it is; especially because it is used selectively and carelessly in such a way that it spoils all the beauty of the old door. I should also add: you shouldn't think that I have objection to certain colours.
Photographically speaking, it is good to depict it to show the change of tendency and attitude. That's why I like it.

At your suggestion Larry I converted it to b&w and added lots of contrast but it didn't have the effect that that lovely purple has. Try it yourself, you might do better.
