Blue Beauty

Photo Information
Hooray! The sun came out (a little) today! It gave me the chance to get out in the garden with the K-x and Sigma 105mm DG EX Macro to take a few shots. This is handheld in natural light, no flash.

I agree, and it makes a difference!

Very good David, nice contrast between the blue and the green

Hi Rob, about 3 to 4 inches, not sure exactly, but I was at the closest focussing distance of the lens (Sigma 105mm DG EX Macro).

Hi Rob, they almost always do fly away! I have to be very quiet, stealthy and careful - slow and deliberate movements until I get to the required focussing distance. It does take a fair amount of patience to get good macro shots of nsects, particularly when using natural light as opposed to flash.
