A lonely figure on the street in Venice..... Feb. 2018.
I've seen many people 'begging' on African streets but this lonely figure I thought particularly poignant, we gave them some cash after taking this photo. I wonder where they are today.

A realy beautiful image. Masterly edited. "Some are true others are orgsnised beggars".....Right words....and most of that money go to criminal rackets. Many times we read on newspapers of poor beggars that seem to live in poverty but have rich bank accounts or drive Ferrari....See this link of 2016 warning not to give money......

Honestly I must add that most of them are true poor peoples but it is not right to leave them alone and all local or national org do nothing to solve this matter....They're able to let them survive giving a meal twice a day.....

I rarely give to people begging where I live as most seem capable of doing some kind of work but can't be bothered, {or as you say are not genuine} but this person....... too old to work, shivering in the cold and drizzle with just that small paper cup ...........it was very sad.
