On Sunday 11th August the 45th Anniversary of the end of steam on British Railways was celebrated by running a steam special as far as possible replicating the train and the route of 11th August 1968.
Here 45231 and 44932 are seen at Crosby Garrett against a backdrop of the Fells of the Pennine Escarpment overlooking the Eden Valley
