x2 would prefer it it if the bright patch could be toned down a bit, but that's me

It is beautiful.

I do agree with Teaka53 though, it is a tad over-exposed, not just on the snow areas but also on the bird itself.

Please don't take this as a criticism, it is not intended to be as this image is better than any wild bird shots I have ever taken, but nonetheless I think it would be even better with just a little less exposure.

Had a look at changing the exposure in Photoshop and it isn't as attractive to my eyes. Sorry you don't like it……... I love it! The contrast between the bright turquoise bird and the very pale blue and white background is very appealing to my eyes in separates it from just another "Kingfisher on a stick" photo.
Incidentally I sat in the snow up to my thighs in icy water in a chair hide to get the shot on the first snowy morning of this particular winter.
