Goldcrest
Photo Information
A well camouflaged Goldcrest, beside the Queen's Marsh Nature Reserve, Dartington.
Tiny and charming little birds, apparently an estimated 5 million of them living in the UK. Hard to spot though as they are so, so small and blend like ninjas into the countryside!

My thought too. Your birdie is almost a PART of the background. I like where the beak points. Like.

Many thanks David 🙂 This one didn't seem too bothered by me being so close, a couple of it's chums were skittish and wary!

Yes, weathered limestone and pin-cushion moss seem an ideal background for this bird 🙂

Many thanks Malcolm 🙂 Apparently they like pine woodlands too, often in groups. Hope you get to see some for real
