Shafts of Light

by davidstorm

I have to say I'm fairly pleased with this one as I had to hand-hold at 1/13 with the DA L 55-300 zoom due to the low light.

Shot in the ruins of Hardwick Old Hall, Derbyshire.

Sincere thanks Shaun, when I get a comment like this from you it means a lot to me. It's funny how things turn out. I actually think this is one of the best pics I have ever taken, just because it was so hard to get the light right and to take it without loads of camera shake. I checked the shutter speed on this one and it was only 1/13 so I'm amazed it came out so well. The K-m has worked well and given it a lovely warmth.

Cheers, David

I'm not uploading mine of the same view it was very dark in there and David has done really well with this, it looked warm and sunny but in fact it was very cold and quite dim inside the ruins. Fantastic David, and it would look wonderful in your lovely house. Cheers Trixie
