Combe gibbet

The view of Berkshire from the highest chalk hill in the south of England .... a gibbet is where they used to hang people .... pretty good view!
This might need tweaking, it's a 'first draft' ...

I recollect that a gibbet was where the body was hung for public viewing after the official hanging procedure, more often than not at a crossroads! I can't actually see it here!

I'm at the top ....
(It should have read 'the view from Combe gibbet')
All my photos are with 8 year old cameras ...
645D, 35mm, SDM 55mm, FA75mm, FA150mm f/2.8 and K-5, Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8, DA* 50-135mm, Samyang 8mm, other miscellaneous stuff...
