Eventide

by morpheus71

“In the ultimate stillness
Light penetrates the whole realm;
In the still illumination,
There pervades pure emptiness.
When I look back on the
Phenomenal world,
Everything is just
Like a dream.”

Han-shan Te-Ch'ing ((1546-1623) who was one of the major Buddhist thinkers and reformers of the late Ming period)

Climber Jonathan Hawker gazes across the Vale of Widecombe towards Hamel Down in the lingering post-sunset afterglow light, atop one of the bouldering routes below ‘The Wave’ sector on the west face of Bonehill Rocks on Dartmoor.

Simply superb, and it is so matching with the poem that one might take it as a photographic recreation of it.
