An excellent photo, David, although slightly blurred the content makes this well worth treasuring (unless of course, you do a stake-out at McMouse-alds).
Always blame the equipment!!!!

Beautiful. Perfect timing. I've been lucky to see 3 barn owls in flight, once as your picture during the day. High flying as a Ghost and one flew across in front of me whilst on my bike at 60+, scared the whatsits out of me, slowed me down and avoided an accident at the next bend. Lots of respect for these.

Thanks for all the comments, I held back uploading it because as you noticed I still have to master the Sigma espesially when panning and taken by surprise.
They will soon be feeding young and hunting earlier, like all owls they are magnificent and a joy to watch so its no hardship to try again.
