Sailing?

by pauljay

To be honest, I was quite amazed when this was accepted on to PPG.
The sails covered a refreshment area of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona.

Really like the angles and contrasts in colours.

Can I ask a newbie question - what is PPG?

Pentax Photo Gallery I believe.
You hva to submit shots there and they have to be selected..

To be honest, I quite like the photo, but I wasn't too confident about others seeing it. It's PPG acceptance and your great response have made me realise that it's not a bad shot after all, although I should remove that spot on the upper sail.
Thanks guys!
Paul.

It's a well composed abstract Paul.
It would be tempting to crop the left side a bit so the diagonal cables start in the corners. This means the left side of it is filled better & balances up the colours.

Ian.

I did play around with it before posting Ian, that is, I rotated it to the right a little in an attempt to make the diagonal cables symmetrical, but it resulted in the horizontal cable then not being horizontal. Thus, leaving it the way it is seemed to be the best compromise. Appreciate your comments though.
