Bamburgh Castle I

Had a fantastic week up on the north Northumbrian coast at the end of March just before Easter.
I grew up 40 miles from here, and came here for pretty much every holiday as a kid, so it's always very much 'return to the source' for me whenever I manage to get back. First time I've really managed to get back with my camera though, and time to properly use it.
A very strong east wind blew all week. As cold as I've known it this time of year.
I'll start by posting a few mono shots... a few colour shots to follow in a week or so...

This is a really fine landscape Bill. We see many images of Bamburgh Castle, but I think this is the best I've seen on here for two reasons:
1. The viewpoint is different from others I've seen
2. The exposure time used makes it unique
Altogether a great shot.

The long exposure works well with this, especially the way the moving grass and clouds fool the eye. It needs the fixed castle to help the optical illusion, I think.

I like the clever way you have used two thirds of the pic showing the sand dunes and wind blown grasses rather than more of the castle, wonderful shot!
