Bamburgh Castle, Sunrise

by thingsthatihaveseen

Bamburgh Castle, sunrise. Final shot for now from my trip to the Northumbrian coast at the end of March.

An easterly wind had blown all week, and had brought snow at some point every day. This was my final morning.

There was a belt of cloud that hung just on the horizon, delaying the actual appearance of the Sun...

Thanks guys... Had been up at 4.45 am 4 days in a row to try to catch a sunrise here... Mother Nature delivered at the last possible moment... A quite unforgettable morning...

Beautiful work, well worth the early rising to capture this scene.

The subject has been done to death here in recent times but this is a nice new angle!
