Thanks very much Tim for your encouraging feedback. There was a rather handy but very tiny island, midstream, which I managed to wade out to make this photo. This very central platform made making the start of the fall, in my composition, be slightly off-centre somewhat challenging though!

The river as it runs through these old woods is very beguiling, a definite ‘old world’ feel to it. I managed to make several photos around that location yesterday that I was pleased with. Autumn is definitely my favourite time for exploring the moors.
