Finally...after 2 years of wishing,I got my chance to have a go at the Northern Lights, while visiting in Northern Alberta...It was a fantastic display...going from green to purple to orange.

ooo lovely , something i'd definitely love to see , though i would need to get a spare battery and a 32Gig SDHC card me thinks

Beautiful shot, Judith!.. Maybe increase the exposure a little, to make the sky a little more blue, and emphasising the green shades of the aurora, perhaps?

Amazing lights, I wish I could see them sometime. I think the image may need tilting to the right to straighten it up.

Thanks...Yes I did some at a longer exposure and I did straighten this photo in my finished product....I will post one that had been "Lightroomed".

Yes, a fantastic shot, but the horizon needs straightening and I'd go along with Steven about the saturation in the sky. Wish I'd seen it though!
