"To Daffodils,

by focus

Fair daffodils, we weep to see You haste away so soon; As yet the early rising sun Has not attain'd his noon. Stay ,stay
Until the hasting day
Has run
But to the evensong;
And, having pray'd together,
we will go with you along.
We have short time to stay as you,
We have as short as spring;
As quick a growth to meet decay,
As you or anything.
We die
As your hours do, and dry
Away
Like to the summer's rain;
Or as the pearls of morning's dew
Ne'er to be found again."

Of course the poetry says everything re: your use of the scene involved. Very well chosen. This is further emphasised with use of colour/b+w choice in the subjects. B+W of course is as dynamic with it's heavy sonorous noise/feel as that vibrancy of central colour. The debris involved around that central burst of life is a photographic opportunity treasure you couldn't buy. Lovely story telling.
"The Latent Image that exists before development is a truly mystical and exciting entity and some subsequent individual photographs can make the spine tingle."

To me, the processing here is absolutely right for the subject and the story it is telling. Great shot.
