Frankfurt is the city in Germany with the highest number of modern, tall buildings but you also find some bank buildings in the inner city that are 100-200 years old - depending where you stand, you have a chance to get them both on one picture

This is a really nice shot, Axel. I like the contrast of the old and the new building that was pictured by the colours too: warmer old and colder new.

Wonderful contrast between old and new. I remember these buildings when I was in Frankfurt a few years ago for Achema.Is this photo another example of HDR? Which software do you use: Photoshop or Photomatix?

yep - HDR - processed first with photomatix and finished with photoshop

I love this shot Axel, the contrast between the two periods, this really shows the loving care, attention and skill of the old craftsmen compared to modern buildings

Lovely shot, I agree with all the above comments, the pedantic side of me says perhaps the perspective on the new building could do with straightening a bit?
