A Corner of Venice

Photo Information
I love Venice, especially the way the decaying old buildings provide texture and contrast with the water. The colours, the smells and the atmosphere are sublime, especially if you can get away from the overcrowded areas and venture further into the parts of the old city toward the edges.

Very nice David; lovely textures in the bridge and stone work, and the reflection patterns are super. Not too sure about the beer bottle tho'!

Hi Andy, it was there and I thought it added to the scene, it's a consequence of modern life I suppose!

I suspected that you hadn't 'carefully' placed it there!

Most definitely not! I strongly disapprove of litter and you don't tend to see much of it Venice.

I believe its equally important when doing travel photography to capture the close details, mysterious corners and back alleys as well as the iconic buildings and views. that many other photographers concentrate on, when visiting famous locations. You've done just that David.

Well seen and captured David and i must agree with the comments above and having been fortunate to visit it once a few years ago, i did manage to venture away from the normal photogenic sites and grab a few shots from the suburbs.

Well taken David. I'm pleased to see these places as it's not somewhere I'll get to myself.
