It couldn't be more appropriate. How on earth did you spot this and it happen in this way? Wonderful observational skill.

Thanks for all your comments. This photo was a happy chance. I thought that the alley with the bookshop would make a good picture, then people started drifting by and browsing. I took several photos before this lady appeared with her strange shopping bag. I have never seen another bag with the words "Books are my bag" - I wonder if she had it specially printed for her. I liked the composition when she was browsing, but a few moments later she turned and walked past me - scowling with annoyance that I had 'snapped' her. I suppose I should have asked her permission, but I was preoccupied with the next group of browsers (see flickr ).
