Pembroke's Farewell

by pauljay

Had to delve deep into the PJ archives for this one.
From a 1987 slide of an RAF Pembroke on one of its many withdrawal farewells up from (now former) RAF Wildenrath. Taken from an RAF Andover.
Probably taken on an ME Super. Lens unknown.

The Pembroke is one of my favoutite aircraft, there's something just so "right" about it's proportions.
During the summer months - airshow season - I usually see one several times heading back westward. More to the point, I can identify it before I even see it by the sound, it's very distinctive.

Lovely photo of another RAF classic.
