Deer in The Glen

OK, so I know that in the Lake District they are not called 'Glens', but I don't know what the correct local terminology is! Anyway there are definitely Roe Deer there!
As we walked back to Grasmere from Helm Crag today, the afternoon sun was brilliant and lit up the valley which had vibrant colour after the rain. The Deer were a massive bonus.
K-5, DA 16-45.
This one has to be viewed 'Large'.

You caught it! This makes me feel stressed believe it or not, its one of the shots that shows timing is just as important in landscape as in macro or sports, I've found myself in some blind panics trying to get the camera out to catch the light before a cloud moves off.
Checked with my other half who is from just south of Kendal for you, she thinks if it doesn't have a name like 'something-dale', then its probably a valley

Thank you Sean, I hope I haven't stressed you too much! We were walking back into the village after a day on the fells and happened across this scene by accident. I took quite a few shots, but the light on this one is the best.
